Terms and Conditions
1. General Agreement
By authorizing services with Five Star Auto Tint & Glass (“Company”), the customer (“Client”) agrees to all terms and conditions outlined below. These terms must be accepted prior to the start of any work.
2. Services Provided
The Company provides professional services including, but not limited to:
- Automotive window tint installation
- Windshield replacement and auto glass services
- Film removal and reinstallation
All services are performed using industry-standard techniques and materials.
3. Window Tint Warranty
Warranty coverage varies based on film type:
- Standard Film: 30-day limited warranty (defects only)
- Carbon Film: 2-year warranty (fading, peeling, bubbling)
- Ceramic Film: Lifetime warranty (fading, peeling, bubbling, discoloration)
- Premium Ceramic Film: Lifetime transferable warranty
Warranty covers manufacturer defects and installation issues only.
Warranty Does Not Cover:
- Physical damage
- Scratches caused by seat belts, pets, or sharp objects
- Improper cleaning or care
- Pre-existing glass defects
4. Tint Care Instructions
Client agrees to follow all post-installation care instructions:
- Do not roll down windows for 5 days
- Do not clean or touch the inside of windows for 5 days
- Water bubbles, haze, or distortion may appear and are normal during the curing process (up to 20 days)
Failure to follow these instructions may void the warranty.
5. Auto Glass Installation Terms
- The Company primarily uses aftermarket glass unless OEM glass is specifically requested and confirmed by the Client
- Minor cosmetic differences between OEM and aftermarket glass may exist
- The Company is not responsible for pre-existing vehicle conditions, including:
- Rust
- Prior damage
- Weak moldings or seals
6. ADAS Recalibration Policy
Some vehicles require ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) recalibration after windshield replacement.
- Recalibration is NOT included unless explicitly requested or required
- Additional cost: $300 (only if needed and approved by Client)
- In many cases, the vehicle may function normally without recalibration; however:
- The Company does not guarantee system accuracy without recalibration
- The Client assumes responsibility if recalibration is declined
7. Moldings & Seals
- If molding is worn or damaged, replacement will be offered at an additional cost
- If Client declines new molding:
- The Company does not warranty leaks or wind noise
- Old moldings may compromise installation quality
8. Customer Responsibilities
Client agrees to:
- Provide accurate vehicle information
- Inspect work before leaving the premises
- Notify the Company immediately of any concerns
9. Post-Service Acceptance
By signing after completion, the Client confirms:
- Work has been inspected
- Vehicle systems appear to function properly
- Client is satisfied with the service
Once the vehicle leaves the premises:
- The Company is not responsible for damages except those covered under warranty
10. Limitation of Liability
Five Star Auto Tint & Glass shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Issues arising from pre-existing conditions
- Failure to follow care instructions
11. Payment Terms
- Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed
- Deposits may be required for certain services or specialty materials
12. Cancellation & Rescheduling
- Appointments may require advance notice to cancel or reschedule
- Deposits may be non-refundable depending on circumstances
13. SMS & Communication Consent (TCPA Compliance)
By providing your phone number, you agree to receive:
- Appointment confirmations
- Service updates
- Promotional messages (if opted in)
